About the Program

Temperate forest ecosystems support the major wood-based industries worldwide and provide critical ecosystem services. Their equilibrium is nowadays threatened by global warming and the issues at stake on the evolution of temperate forests relate to carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, and timber production. This new context requires professionals with a deep understanding on the ecology and functioning of forest ecosystems, scientific and technical skills that enable them to provide innovative solutions in the management of forests and natural resources from local to international scales. FEN is a 2nd year Master's Degree, jointly accredited by the University of Lorraine and AgroParisTech, with a strong international vocation and full taught in English.
