The first year M1 track "Nanophysics and Quantum physics" provides students with confirmed knowledge in quantum physics, solid state physics, semiconductor physics, magnetism, optics, in addition to a selection of elective courses. It provides the appropriate background to pursue a second year in the M2 track "Nanophysics" or "Quantum Information Quantum Engineering" (the admission in one of these two tracks is automatic upon success of the first year). The M2 track "Nanophysics" covers topics from crystal growth, quantum transport, photonics, nano-magnetism, spintronics, nanofabrication techniques, and applications to energy, microelectronics, sensors, etc... This track combines high-level courses and practical trainings on top-level equipment of research laboratories and clean-room facilities of the Grenoble area.
