About the Program

This curriculum is for students interested in issues related to the identification and protection of the environment, and who want to study and understand the way microorganisms, animals and plants interact with their environment. At the end of the "Environmental Genomics" M2, students will have acquired sufficiently sound knowledge enabling them to prepare a doctoral thesis in various and emerging domains of environmental genomics, or to even apply for engineering jobs: Theses and R&D engineering jobs in the public and private sector. Use of metagenomics approaches to analyse the quality of the environment, food, biofilms, medical research (pathogen, hospital-acquired infections, evolutionary epidemiology, police science...), agricultural development, inventory and protection of ecosystems and of biodiversity, etc... Theses in public research laboratories mainly in conjunction with the doctoral schools of the region.
