About This Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarship 2026 offers fully funded opportunities for selected candidates to pursue Master’s degrees at Oxford University with all the expenses of tuition, living stipend, accommodation, and flight costs covered.

Requirements

• pplicants must be citizens of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Saint Helena, Senegal, Sierra Leone, São Tomé and Principe, or Togo.
• They must have lived in one or more of these countries for at least five of the last ten years.
• Applicants must be aged 18–24 on 1 October 2025, or 18–25 for medicine, dentistry, law, and engineering students, or under 27 if they completed their first degree on or after 1 October 2024.
• They must have completed an undergraduate degree with a First Class Honours or equivalent.
• Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy applicants must have a distinction in at least three of five core areas: Medicine & Surgery, Pathology, Pharmacology, Gynaecology, and Paediatrics.
• Candidates have a greater chance if they hold an Honours degree from a university outside their home country or have studied to Master’s level within their country (with some exceptions).
